I bought this HP All in One Printer HP DeskJet 2755e after I had a bad result with a similar Canon all in one Printer, PIXMA MG 3620, which I had for less than day, packaged it back up & shipped back Amazon for a refund (which I had the refund within a day after shipping the Canon PIXMA MG3620 ALL IN ONE PRINTER back to Amazon). Once I knew Amazon got the defective printer back to them (which was a week later). I looked at the reviews for similar HP All in one printer's & found this printer, & found this one, HP DeskJet 2755e. The reviews were a bit mixed running about 85% good & 15% not so good. the complaints were over about it trying to connect the printer wirelessly using through their WI-FI systems (which was I wasn't going to set it up that way).

Confused by bad reviews. Easy setup and 4200 free pages of ink
Confused why anyone had trouble setting this up. It was near effortless when following instructions.

Removed packing materials and tape
Loaded app on laptop
Signed up for HP+
App automatically connected to printer (took a few minutes but I did not need to stay with it)

That was it.

Also, Instant ink is really easy. First shipment of free ink doesn't come for 7-10 days, but it did come with some initial ink. The people complaining about the free ink weren't paying attention. You can set it up for 700 pages/month for free for 6 months (that's 4200 free pages). After that you can change it to whatever you would like, including very cheap options that cost way less than buying normal ink cartridges. The ink cartridges they send you are significantly bigger than even XL cartridges.

A printer actually worth 5 stars at an unbeatable price! LOVE IT!
I have owned HP printers forever. Our old HP all in one was still going after 12 years but the scanner bed had gotten dirty and I also decided it was time to upgrade because I needed double sided printing and also the ability to print wirelessly from my iPhone and iPad. A nearby Office Depot was closing its doors and having a big blow out sale to get rid of all its inventory so I decided to go look at printers thinking I could get a screaming deal. I talked to one of the sales associates about my needs and she said this was a very popular model that offered all the features I want and then some. They had it marked down from $180 to about $153 on sale. Before I bought it I do what I always do and checked Amazon and was shocked to find that the exact same printer in the exact same package was only $99 with Prime! I bid farewell to Office Depot (no wonder they're closing) and went right home and ordered it!

Home or student casual use, not an office workhorse
I figured this inexpensive printer would be just good enough for a student, but it turned out to be better than my old Epson for general household use. Crisp paper printouts (example below) and decent snapshots on photo paper when needed. Duplex, cop, scan, print, wireless or wired: everything I need in a compact printer, and at less than forty bucks a bargain (yeah, yeah, they always gouge you on the cost of replacement ink but I don't print that much so it's OK).

So far this is an amazing printer, some common complaints addressed in my review
First and foremost, Wi-Fi issues. My computer is connected to my router by ethernet cable, so using Wi-Fi to connect the printer was not an option as I wasn't going to dig up a cord and connect it directly. So the answer was to tell the printer *not* to connect during set-up and then have the printer manually search for available Wi-Fi networks and then enter in the password. A quick Google search will reveal the Canon support links to do this, it was quite easy even if using the little LCD screen made it a bit of a pain (hint: for upper-case and numbers you have to hit the "Tone" button to change from lower-case letters).
