Needed a replacement printer/scanner quick for my home office, after learning my old HP Deskjet would be expensive to repair. The repair tech suggested I check out Brother options, so I got this one. Outstanding quality and user experience, and such a great price! I chose the wireless set-up option (connected to your device is also an option), and added my husband's device, which means we both can print from our iPhones. Game-changer!!

The entire set-up, including downloading a few add-ons, checking print alignment and registering the device, took less than an hour. Downloading the Brother print app to your computer makes it quite easy. I'm a technical writer, and appreciate how clear and concise the instructions were. Note: Be sure to check this model is compatible with your Windows or Mac (15 different OS versions) before you buy.

This printer arrived well packaged, starter ink cartridges included, and on-time. Highly recommend, very happy with this purchase.

It's easy to set up and hook to printer. Not as fast as some. But definitely loaded and reliable. Some people mentioned battery, have not noticed a problem. I gave it a 5 because for the price it is a 5.

Although I can't use the wireless feature while connected to my company VPN it is otherwise a great little all-in-one. I bought this to replace an otherwise functional printer because of the multi-page sheet feed scanning and copying ability (prior printer was flat bed scan/copy). Easy install, great quality, love the scanning app, and the high yield cartridges have saved me on ink. I work remotely and so far I Love It!!

Somewhat was easy. Took about 10 minutes and I was connected and printing. Even after test prints and large photo print test tank levels still showing full. Like that you don't have to replace all the colors when just one color runs out. It's a bit slow with a 15 or so second delay to send the data to the printer and start printing. If you are printing something complex, like a photo, it's very slow but this isn't a photo printer designed to crank out top-quality photos one after another. Have a 3rd part print long lasting photos, don't use a cheap inkjet. For all around personal/home office use, it's the best value I found understanding that the cheap price isn't going to get you a silent race horse of a printer.

I have Linux Mint 21.2 on ASUS laptop. I have used HP Printer for over 20 years, and after buying the last HP Laptop and Printer, I have decided to never buy from them again. The printers are just getting too cheap. The design on the last Hp Printer was total junk. Paper jams,parts breaking. While I did try out the instant ink for the last two years, that does save you a bunch of money. But when you need ink, don't think you will just go buy one at Walmart. Because it might work a few times, and then it will not work. If you are still subscribed. Brother Refresh I hope will be better at the delivery. If not I will just buy them myself.

But as for the setup.... Wow it was easy in Linux. I just plugged in USB and it found it immediately. Printed on first try. Way better settings. With generic drivers, it worked. From the printer keypad, I found my router. Just added the security key and it connected. Updated Firmware in about 5 minutes. I printed from my Android phone without any big setup. Just choose print,and then find your new printer in list.

The last few times I have installed printers in Windows or Linux Mint, it has been a real pain. This Brother printer seems well made compared to any printers I have bought in years. I have bought expensive photo printers from HP that used to be well made and lasted me over ten years. When I saw the ugly white printers that will look dirty in a couple days, I decided I will not buy another printer from HP.

So far the Brother Printer looks great,prints fast, and without hassle.

Great home office printer option. Love the cordless connectivity. Was able to easily connect to WIFI and start printing and scanning. Smaller footprint than previous all in one machines. Comes with an optional ink cartridge refill program. Cartridges are very easy to replace using the front door. No need to lift the top of the machine off. Key feature for me was the ability to print on envelopes and it does. In fact, it can print on many different paper sizes. The IOS application is easy to install and set up. I have not had any problems with this product. Another key feature was duplex printing. I definitely recommend this product.

I got this refurbished, a great deal. I only order printers once the ink is manufactured by generic sources, I love to copy and print, and have to keep costs down. It is a little noisy but has a quiet mode. I have only printed on regular paper, but the higher quality print mode looks like it would make good photo copies. Like all Brother printers it stops when one tank shows up as empty, I wish I could by pass that, so I could just print on in black, till I got refills of a color. I haven't tried to paper feed yet.

I've had several color laser printers, the last was a Canon, that I'll never buy again. My Brother laser printer I had previously was a 10 year bulletproof printer, should have skipped Canon. I don't have to print nearly as much as previous job, could back down to ink and not worry whether the jets plug up. This printer has fantastic clarity for the price.

For many years I used HP printers in my home office. But the last one I bought suddenly decided to quit giving me quality prints. it would skip parts of the letters or have blank spaces in a line of print. I'd read the mostly favorable reviews of this printer and decided to take a chance on it. I don't do a lot of printing, mainly recipes and invoices for online purchases. Setting this printer up was as easy as anything I've ever done. I like the fact that it shuts down after a period of inactivity, and I don't to turn it back on either. I just hit print for anything on my computer, and presto it fires up. Print quality is great so far. I may revisit this review down the road, but so far I'm pleased.

I usually tellawork or am in the field, but because my job includes a lot of court reports and legal stuff I still need a lot of documents printed and I get a lot of documents that I have to scan. This printer lets me avoid the trips to the office just to print or scan large documents bc it can print double sided without reloading paper and has a feeder scanner. Plus it’s compact and fits on a shelf at my home.
